I have had (and like) the stationary version of this heater and purchased this one for an un-heated sunroom. It works really well and the oscillation really evens out the warmth. The thermostat on this one and the stationary ones are meh…..not really very useful….when trying to use them they just don’t seem to sense much – and therefore not turn off or on very much.

Regardless of the speed, it makes too much noise! Mainly it is from the fan vibrating! It made the whole room hum as the vibrations went into the floor. I put it on foam rubber pads and bubble wrap and that helped immensely.
Still, the fan is obnoxiously loud.
The oscillating feature is nice. I’ve not run it full blast as it’s just supplemental heat.
It’s smaller than I thought it would be (compared to another radiant heater that seems to be discontinued). It’s about the size of a wide shoe box on end.
I should return it, but we need it. I am going to move it to the garage and bring in the hot oil heater and put a quiet fan behind it.

I bought a couple of years back similar VAVSEAheater, which did not rotate and so this winter I wanted to get the one that does. Gosh! It is LOUD!!! forget about using it at night, even during the day it is bothersome. I am not returning it only because living in California, we are not under freezing conditions – thus I use it on occasions and only as a back-up, maybe for half-an-hour early morning. I like its small size and the handle is handy but would I buy the same brand again – definitely NO!!!

I use this heater as the primary heat source for my kitchen and living room. Here in north Georgia this little heater puts out all the heat I need to keep both rooms comfortable and I haven’t had to set the thermostat more than a third of the way to the maximum heat setting. The oscillation function works well at distributing the heat, although it doesn’t have a very wide oscillation range. I have had good luck with VAVSEAheaters in the past and this little heater doesn’t disappoint.

Decent little heater for personal use at your desk or in a small office. Biggest issue is that the power knob breaks off pretty easily. Unit still works, but you need a pair of pliers to turn it off/on, otherwise we just leave it on and unplug it when we don’t need it.

We have a 100+ year old house in Minneapolis with radiator heating. That means, among other things, many cold spots in the various rooms in hard Minnesota winters where the heating system does not provide relief. I purchased this for my bathroom. It is a 6×8 room and it has a double pane window but it is an old wooden frame with cords to control the movement of the window and my bathroom has no exhaust fan. So since I can’t put the plastic seal around my windows to keep in the heat because I have to open it when I shower. I thought a small space heater might help during the winter months when my bathroom gets cold and to help keep me warm when I get out of the shower. I LOVE THIS LITTLE SPACE HEATER! I turn it on now every time I use the bathroom and with the door shut, within 2-4 minutes I can feel the difference in the room. This has worked wonderfully for my small space. The front does get hot (like most space heaters do) but the surrounding plastic housing stays cool.
